Kind, practical help — every week
Everyday support that helps you stay independent at home
ElderlyAssist takes care of the practical things — a lift to the doctor, the weekly shopping, jobs around the house — so daily life stays comfortable and worry-free.
The same friendly, carefully checked assistants each visit. No long contracts. Cancel any time.
- Background-checked staff
- Fully insured
- Clear, simple prices
What we help with
Choose only the help you need. Most people start with one or two things and add more later.
-
Medical appointments
Door-to-door transport to the doctor, hospital, dentist or optician. We wait with you, help you get to the right room, and take notes if you would like a second pair of ears.
-
Shopping and errands
The weekly food shop done with you or for you, prescriptions collected from the pharmacy, parcels posted and bills paid. Everything unpacked and put away before we leave.
-
Help around the home
Light housekeeping, laundry, changing bed linen, watering the garden and the small jobs that have become awkward — a high light bulb, a stiff window, a heavy box.
-
Company and outings
A friendly visit for a cup of tea and a chat, a walk in the park, a trip to the library, church or the hairdresser — or simply someone to sit with while the crossword gets done.
-
Paperwork and phone calls
Help reading and filling in forms, sorting the post, checking bills and staying on the line with utility companies until the matter is actually resolved.
-
Everyday technology
Patient, unhurried help with a mobile phone, tablet or television — video calls with the grandchildren, online appointments, and making the print bigger.

About ElderlyAssist
ElderlyAssist began in 2016, after our founder spent a year driving his grandmother to hospital appointments and realised how many older neighbours were quietly managing without that kind of help. What was missing was rarely nursing care — it was a lift, a hand with the shopping, and someone reliable to call.
Ten years on, our small team supports more than 300 households. Every assistant is background-checked, trained and fully insured, and we deliberately keep our teams local so you see the same familiar faces week after week.
Our mission
To make the practical side of later life easier, so that living independently at home stays a genuine choice for as long as possible.

What our clients say
A few words from the families and older people we support each week.
-
“I stopped driving two years ago and thought that was the end of getting to my appointments on time. Now the same young lady collects me, waits with me, and has me home for lunch. It has given me my week back.”
Margaret W. Client, 81 — weekly appointments -
“I live four hours away from Dad and worried constantly. The Standard package covers his shopping and a visit twice a week, and I get a short message afterwards to say how he is. Worth every penny for the peace of mind.”
David R. Son of a client — Standard package -
“After my hip operation I only needed help for six weeks, and nobody made me sign up for anything longer. They came, they were kind, they did what was asked — and they always turned up when they said they would.”
Joan & Peter B. Clients — one-off hourly help
